Seattle 1 Mt Rainier

July 13, 2012

I wasn’t really searching for this mug but I ended up finding it on Craiglist which then happens to be the same person that was selling on Ebay so I purchased a pretty beat up mug and WHY? It’s discontinued and I haven’t seen it on sale anywhere. I had to polish and scrub it a few times with Bar Keeper’s Best Friend to get in pictur-able condition. Seattle is the birthplace of Starbucks. The first time I went there,  Pike Place, I had no idea of the significance of this place because the mug obsession hasn’t started yet. Now it’s taken over my life..ah, what a wonderful life I have…:-)

When was this mug discontinued? I’ve been holding on to one for a long while and it’s in pretty good shape. I’ve been trying to ascertain a value for it but the only ones I’ve seen on eBay seems exorbitantly priced. Is this mug really worth $400? It’s one of my favorite mugs but I’d be willing to part with it for the right price.

It was discontinued a long time ago, and they have another Seattle mug. There’s not a set price for it but a lot of people do want that mug since it was replaced with a different Seattle Icon.
