I got this on the trip with Ngan to Vietnam. We sat in the Starbucks in Bangkok, had coffee with our sticky rice and mango dessert. It was my first trip back to Vietnam with her and we took a tour to Thailand. The food was so good there and the temples were amazing. I am Catholic but I was very mesmerized when I went into them. The first time I was in Bangkok was as a refugee back in 1981. Elephants are supposed to be good luck there and we saw an elephant show which was pretty impressive. They can draw, play soccer, throw darts….but it’s not easy to think of the abuse they go through to learn these skills.
